All FAQsHow much does an electrician cost on the Gold Coast?
Our standard call-out covers travel and the first 30 minutes on site, and most small jobs are finished inside that window. For anything larger we give you a fixed written price before we start, so there are no hourly surprises.
Do you offer 24/7 emergency electrical repairs?
Yes. A licensed electrician answers our emergency line day and night, every day of the year. We quote the after-hours call-out rate on the phone before we head out.
Are your electricians licensed and insured?
Every Volt One electrician holds an A-grade Queensland electrical licence. The business holds an electrical contractor licence and $20 million public liability cover, and we issue a Certificate of Testing and Safety for every job.
What do Queensland's 2027 smoke alarm rules mean for my home?
From 1 January 2027 every Queensland home must have interconnected photoelectric smoke alarms in each bedroom, hallway and level. We can assess your home and install a compliant system in a single visit.
How long does a switchboard upgrade take?
Most single-phase homes take four to six hours, with power off for part of the day. If Energex needs to attend we coordinate the booking for you.
