How our pricing works
Fixed prices, agreed in writing before we start
Many electricians quote an hourly rate and leave you guessing. We price the job instead. After a short inspection, or from clear photos for simple work, you get a written quote that lists the scope, the parts and the total including GST. Nothing starts until you approve it.
If we open a wall or a ceiling and find something nobody could have seen, such as damaged cabling or an unsafe old circuit, we stop, show you and quote the extra work separately. You decide whether we go ahead.
The call-out fee, explained
$99
Call-out and first 30 minutes on site
The call-out covers travel to anywhere on the Gold Coast, diagnosis and the first half hour of work. Plenty of small jobs, like a faulty power point or a tripping safety switch, are finished inside that time.
What the $99 covers
Go ahead with quoted work on the same visit and the call-out is included in the quote.

Cost drivers
What affects the price of a job
Two jobs with the same name can take very different amounts of time. These are the factors that move a quote up or down, and the ones we check on site before we give you a number.
How to keep your quote down
Group small jobs into one visit, send clear photos of your switchboard and the work area, and tell us about access before we arrive. One visit with three tasks costs less than three separate visits.

FAQs
Pricing questions
Quick answers about quotes, call-outs and paying for electrical work.
Do you charge for quotes?
Quotes for planned work are free. For faults and repairs, the $99 call-out covers travel, diagnosis and the first 30 minutes, and many small jobs are finished in that time. If you go ahead with quoted work on the same visit, the call-out is included in the quote.
Are your prices fixed or hourly?
Fixed. Once we have seen the job, or clear photos of it, we give you a written price for the whole scope. If something hidden turns up, we stop and quote the change before we continue.
Do your prices include GST?
Yes. Every price on this page and every written quote includes GST, standard materials, testing and a Certificate of Testing and Safety.
How do I pay?
Card, bank transfer or Apple Pay on completion. Larger projects such as rewires and three-phase upgrades are invoiced in stages, agreed in the quote.
Why do some electricians quote lower?
Some quotes leave out safety switches, testing, certification or the Energex booking, then add them later. Ours list the full scope, so compare the line items as well as the total.
