Commercial electrical maintenance contracts on the Gold Coast

Planned maintenance costs less than breakdowns. A Volt One maintenance contract puts your site on a schedule for emergency lighting, test and tag, RCD testing and thermal imaging, with one compliance register, a dedicated contact and priority on our 24/7 roster when something goes wrong.

Who a maintenance contract suits

Contracts work best for sites with ongoing compliance testing and equipment you cannot afford to have offline.

Offices, retail and medical tenancies with emergency lighting and RCDs to test
Cafés, restaurants and cool rooms where an outage means lost stock
Property and facility managers looking after several sites
Strata buildings with common-area lighting, pumps and switchboards
Light industrial and workshops with portable tools and machinery
Businesses that want one electrician who knows the site and its history

What's included in a maintenance contract

Each contract is built around your site and what your insurer, landlord and the regulations ask for.

Scheduled compliance testing

Six-monthly emergency lighting tests, RCD testing and test and tag at the intervals your site needs.

Preventive checks

Switchboard inspections, thermal imaging and lamp replacements on a planned schedule, before faults happen.

Priority call-outs

Priority on our 24/7 roster, with contract rates for after-hours attendance and a site history on file.

One compliance register

Every test, tag, logbook and report kept in one register you can send to your insurer or auditor.

How much does an electrical maintenance contract cost?

Contracts are priced per site from a schedule of the testing and visits you need. A small office or shop with quarterly visits starts from $165 a month, and multi-site or larger contracts are priced after a site walk. Compliance testing is included in the monthly fee, and repairs are quoted at contract rates.

How we set up a contract

01

Site walk

We walk the site, list the boards, emergency lights and equipment, and review any existing records.

02

Schedule and price

You get a written schedule of testing and visits with a fixed monthly price.

03

Baseline visit

We complete the first round of testing and record any faults with fixed prices to fix them.

04

Ongoing visits and reports

Visits happen on schedule, with a short report and an updated register after each one.

Standards and compliance

Contracts are delivered by A-grade licensed electricians, led by Ben Hartley on our commercial team. Testing follows AS/NZS 3760 for in-service safety inspection and testing, AS/NZS 2293.2 for emergency lighting maintenance and AS/NZS 3000 for repairs, helping you meet your obligations under Queensland's Electrical Safety Regulation 2013. We carry $20 million public liability.

What clients say about our maintenance contracts

Read all reviews

“Saved a full cool room of stock.”

Our cool room lost power at 4am. Volt One had an electrician on site before 5 and power back on before the first delivery. We are now on their maintenance plan.

Robina · Commercial emergency

“One register for all four units.”

Emergency lights, test and tag and RCDs all on one schedule, with a report after every visit. Our insurer audit took ten minutes.

Carrara · Maintenance contract

“They know the building now.”

Same team every quarter, so they know the boards and the quirks. Call-outs are quicker because they already have the history.

FAQs

Maintenance contract questions

What business owners and facility managers ask before signing up.

What does a maintenance contract include?

Scheduled compliance testing such as emergency lighting, RCDs and test and tag, preventive checks of switchboards, priority call-outs and a single register of every test and report.

Is there a lock-in period?

Contracts run for 12 months so a full cycle of testing is completed, then continue month to month and can be ended with 30 days notice.

How fast is a priority call-out?

Contract clients go to the front of our 24/7 roster. Most Gold Coast sites see an electrician within 60 minutes, depending on the region and time of day.

Are repairs included in the monthly price?

Testing and scheduled checks are included. Repairs and replacements are quoted at contract rates, and you approve them before we do the work.

Can you take over from our current electrician?

Yes. We start with a baseline visit, review your existing records and carry on from where they left off so there are no gaps in your compliance history.

Do you cover multiple sites?

Yes. Multi-site clients get one contact, one schedule and one combined register, with reports broken down by site.
