Our story
We started Volt One because booking a good electrician on the Gold Coast should not feel like a gamble.
Volt One began more than 15 years ago as one licensed electrician and one van in Helensvale. The electrical work was never the hard part. What frustrated homeowners was everything around it: vague quotes, missed arrival windows and invoices that did not match the price given on the phone.
So we built the business around fixing that. Every job gets a fixed written price before we start, a two-hour arrival window and a text when we are on the way. Today our A-grade electricians cover the coast from Coomera to Coolangatta, and most of our work comes from repeat clients and referrals.
Milestones
How a one-van business grew up
2010
One van, one licence
Volt One starts as a single-electrician business in Helensvale, doing fault finding, power points and small jobs for neighbours and local builders.
2014
First apprentice, second van
Repeat work grows enough to take on our first apprentice and add a second van covering Southport and the central Gold Coast.
2017
Commercial and strata work
We start maintenance contracts for offices, shops and body corporates, including exit light testing and after-hours call-outs.
2020
Switchboards take over
As homes add EV chargers, batteries and induction cooktops, switchboard upgrades become our most requested job.
2023
A 24/7 emergency roster
A dedicated after-hours roster means a licensed electrician answers the emergency line at any hour, not a call centre.

Price it before we start
You get a fixed written quote before any work begins. If we find something unexpected, we stop and talk it through with you first.

Turn up when we say
We give you a two-hour arrival window and text when we are on the way. If we are running late, you hear it from us, not the clock.

Leave it safer and tidier
Every job is tested and certified. Drop sheets go down first, and we take our offcuts and rubbish with us when we leave.
